What is a more powerful processor? Pentium Dual-Core E2220 or Pentium D Dual Core 945?
The Pentuim D is 3.4 GHz and appears to be better but it seems be considered a small lever that processors dual core processor. I'm reading this? I look barebones kits and listed with the following CPU: Pentium Pentium D 9xx Dual Core Which is better? I know I could get on a quad-core, but do not need that. Or am I confusing this with a Core 2 Duo?
The E2220 is better than any Pentium D. The E2220 is based on the most recent "basic architecture and the Pentium D is basically 2 Pentium 4 in a package. The new 45nm revisions E2xxx will be available soon with the E5200, which is faster than 100MHz and E2220, probably will sell for the same price as the E2220.
