If not buy a hard disk DVD recorder, would be a new high-definition television images upscale automatically?

Or should I need to buy a HDD DVD recorder and an HDTV-ready?

No. Because you are confusing two different terms. Recorder HDD = hard disk drive. This is a DVD recorder with built in hard drive (like a computer unit), registration of programs. HD = high definition. This refers to the high quality images of the latest available from some providers of TV and Blu-Ray. A DVD recorder with a hard drive will not record images in HD. A high-end TV images will not be a DVD to HD. A DVD burner can not distribute programs for high-end HD TV. Some DVD recorders may upscale DVDs to pseudo-HD.
